How do I upload my alcohol and food safety certifications?
Pros can upload proof of their alcohol and food safety certifications (TIPS, ServSafe, 360Training, state-specific alcohol permits) directly in the mobile app after completing their profile setup.
To upload your certification:
Tap the three lines in the top right corner of the app for the dropdown menu
Select Industry Certifications from the menu
Then tap +Add New
What happens next?
Upload an image of your certificate from your photo gallery
Enter the expiration date (if applicable)
Choose the state the certification is valid for
Tap Submit for review.
Once submitted, your certification status will show as “Pending” while it is being reviewed by Qwick, typically within 1-2 business days.
How will I know if it’s approved?
After review, you’ll receive an in-app notification letting you know whether your certification has been approved or rejected.
If approved, no further action is needed
If rejected, you can edit your original submission to update the image, state code, or expiration and re-submit or you can delete the certification and start over
Do I need a certification?
Some shifts require food or alcohol certifications. If you plan to accept shifts that involve handling food or serving alcohol on-premise, you'll need the relevant certification uploaded and approved before picking up those shifts.
What if my certification expires?
If your certification expires, simply upload an updated copy by following the same steps listed above.
What if I pick up shifts in more than one state?
Upload a separate certification for each state you plan to pick up shifts in, selecting a different state for each. If your certification is valid in multiple states, you'll still need to upload a copy for each one — we'll review each submission individually.
Why was my certification rejected?
Certifications are most commonly rejected for one of these reasons:
Not valid in the selected state — Some certifications are only recognized in specific states or counties/cities due to local regulations. Make sure the certification you're uploading is accepted where you plan to work.
Course completion certificate vs. state-issued certification — If your state requires an official state-issued certification, a third-party course completion certificate won't be accepted. Check with your course provider (TIPS, ServSafe, 360Training, etc.) on how to obtain your official certification after completing all requirements.
If your certification is rejected, a reason will be provided. For additional clarification, reach out to Qwick support.
