South Carolina Alcohol Seller/Server Certifications

Edited

To serve alcohol in South Carolina, the state now requires servers and managers to complete an approved training program. This new state law takes effect May 1, 2026.

Professionals can complete an approved training course and then download a copy of their official SCDOR-issued alcohol server certificate from the state website. Once you complete an approved course, find your SCDOR-issued certificate on the state website and upload an image of it in the app under Alcohol. You can upload certifications by going to your app's drop down menu, click Industry Certifications, then click +Add New in the top right corner. Anyone serving alcohol also needs to keep a digital copy of their certification on them while serving, according to the state of South Carolina.
