Clocking In and Out of a Shift

How to Clock In and Out of a Shift

Before your shift, make sure your location permission for the Qwick pro app is set to "Always On." You won't be able to apply for, confirm, or clock into shifts without it.

Clocking in

  • About 1 hour before your shift, you'll get an app notification for your upcoming shift.

  • Clock-in opens 5 minutes before your start time — you can't clock in any earlier. To clock in, you need to be on-site and within 0.5 miles of the shift location.

  • Check in with the onsite manager before you clock in. Some shifts require a 4-digit code to clock in: when you tap Clock In, you'll be asked to enter it, and either the manager on duty or someone with business account-level access will give it to you. This makes sure confirmed pros are on time and ready to work.

  • Once you've clocked in, the manager on duty is notified and you'll show as clocked in.

If you're having trouble clocking in

  • First, check the basics: you're on-site, within 0.5 miles, no more than 5 minutes before start, and location is set to "Always On." If any of those aren't met, the button won't work — that's expected, not a bug.

  • If you don't have the code, the manager isn't available, or the app still won't let you in, check in with the onsite manager — they can clock you in and adjust your time directly. Don't worry: your time is still recorded and you'll be paid even if the app clock-in doesn't work.

  • If you've checked your location settings and talked to the manager and it's still not working, continue with your shift. Remain on site at clock out, because you'll be able to add or adjust your clock in time then as well.

  • If at clock out, you're still unable to adjust any clock in time, contact support at 7942 for assistance.

Clocking out

  • Clock out only at the very end of your shift. Once you clock out there's no way to clock back in, so be careful.

  • Stay on-site to clock out. If you don't clock out while on-site, your payment may need to be verified. You will also need to remain onsite to adjust your timesheet in any way before submitting it.

  • Working past your scheduled end time? You can extend your shift in the app in the first 15 minutes after the end time.

  • If you don't clock out, you'll be automatically clocked out 4 hours after your scheduled end time, for the scheduled end time.

Time adjustments and pay

  • Need your time corrected? The onsite manager can adjust it — note this may not update until the end of the shift.

  • Remain onsite and adjust your timesheet before submitting as needed.

  • Businesses have final approval of all hours worked and up to 48 hours after the shift's scheduled end to review and verify them.

  • Once you've properly clocked in and out on-site, your payment shows in the Earnings tab of your app.

  • Continue working the shift, even if clock in doesn't happen until the end of the shift, we will ensure you're paid for all time you worked on the platform. If you do leave the shift early, you will only be paid for any time worked. Minimums will be forfeited.
