Boosted Shifts for Pros

Qwick may "Boost" or add extra money to a Shift in certain instances:

  • If a Pro cancels a confirmed Shift within 24 hours of start time, the Shift will be available to all other selected Pros and the Shift board again

  • If a Shift is posted "last minute", meaning the start time of the Shift is very near the posting time (less than 24 hours)

  • The Shift may have a “Boosted” badge on it with a value

  • That value is the amount of money we (Qwick) are adding to the total value of the Shift to entice Pros to fill it

Boosts are displayed as an hourly rate and as a total value, but that does not mean the pro gets both. For example, a 5-hour Shift for $15/hr may get a $15 boost. This will be displayed as a $15 boost and a change in the hourly rate to $18/hr. The pro is not getting both a $15 bonus and $18/hr, the pro is getting $15, which, divided over 5 hours, equals $3/hr being added to the Shift.

If a business cancels a Boosted Shift, Pros are not due any portion of the Boost amount included in any possible compensation for the cancellation.
