Tips & Gratuity
Most Qwick shifts are flat-rate, meaning the hourly rate shown in the shift is the full amount a Professional (Pro) should expect to earn for the shift (minus applicable fees).
Important: Tips are not included on every Qwick shift.
A Pro should only expect tips if the shift description explicitly states that tips or gratuity are included.
Example
If a shift is listed at $20/hour, the expected pay is $20/hour unless the shift description specifically says "plus tips," "plus gratuity," or similar wording.
When are tips included?
Tips are only expected when the shift description clearly states they will be provided.
Examples include wording such as:
Plus tips
Plus gratuity
Credit card tips included
If the shift description does not mention tips or gratuity, the Pro should not expect any additional tip compensation beyond the posted hourly rate.
If a Pro says they are owed tips
If a Pro contacts Support stating they are missing tips:
Review the original shift description.
If the shift explicitly stated that tips or gratuity would be provided, the business is expected to pay those tips.
If the shift did not mention tips or gratuity, the posted hourly rate is the full expected compensation, and the Pro should not be advised that additional tips are owed.
Who decides whether tips are offered?
The business determines whether a shift includes tips.
Many businesses pay Qwick Pros a higher hourly rate than their regular staff, so some shifts do not include additional gratuity.
When are tips paid?
If a shift included tips:
Tip payout timing varies by business.
Tips are generally processed within 10–14 business days after the shift.
Qwick works to ensure all earned tips are paid as quickly as possible.
