Tips & Gratuity
Qwick shifts are typically flat-rate, meaning the hourly rate shown in the shift is the full base pay a Professional (Pro) should expect to receive.
If a shift is listed at $20/hour, the Pro should expect to earn $20/hour (minus applicable fees) for that shift.
Not all shifts on the Qwick platform include tips.
When are tips included?
Tips are only expected when they are clearly stated in the shift description.
If the shift description includes terms like “plus tips” or “plus gratuity”, the business is expected to provide additional tip compensation.
If the shift description does not mention tips or gratuity, the Pro should not expect tips for that shift.
Who decides if tips are provided?
It is up to the business to determine whether tips are offered for a shift.
In many cases, Qwick Pros are paid a higher hourly rate than a business’s full-time staff, which is why tips may not be included.
When are tips paid out?
If tips are offered for a shift:
Tip payout timing varies by business.
As a general guideline, tips are typically processed within 10–14 business days after the shift.
Qwick works to ensure all earned tips are paid in a timely manner.
